NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME

The main objectives of National Service Scheme (NSS) are :

  • Develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility
  • Utilize their knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems.

  • Develop competence required for group-living and sharing of responsibilities

  • Acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitudes.

  • Develop capacity to meet emergencies and natural disasters .

  • Practice national integration and social harmony.

There are two units 107&108 in NSS and 200 student volunteers take part and conduct various social and student welfare programs within and the off-the-campus.

  • Around 1200 students and staff were benefited out of an Eye Screening camp & Dental camp organized in our college campus in association with Vasan Eye Care group, Madurai on 18th and 19th Feb 2015.

  • ON 10th Oct 2014 our college celebrated “HUMAN RIGHTS DAY” at our college premises and students were asked to take pledge on that day.

  • ON 10th Oct 2014 our college celebrated “HUMAN RIGHTS DAY” at our college premises and students were asked to take pledge on that day.

  • On 31st Oct 2014 we are celebrated “NATIONAL UNITY DAY” at our college premises and students were asked to take pledge on that day (FOR RUN, FOR UNITY)

  • On 15th Oct 2014 celebrated “WORLD HAND WASH DAY” at our college premises and students were asked to take pledge on that day. A RALLY was also conducted on that topic.

  • In our college was organized RALLY ON DENGUE FEVER AND SWINE FLU on 27th march 2015 at Alanganallur, more than 100 RRC volunteers and 8 staff from our college to participated the rally. The rally was organized by INSPECTOR OF POLICE, ALANGANALLUR to creating awareness among the public.
